Unless you are craning all over the place, there is no way you can see
someone who', say 15 feet from your rear end. I'm not talking about
to use for backing, that's what the neck and rear window are for (oh,
wait, you don't have one), I'm talking about slow speed manuvering.

NASCAR cars don't have side mirrors.

Man, those take some getting used to. Had one in the BMW I kind of
raced a couple of years back (thanks to some rule changes, "kind of"
is the operative phrase). It took me several hours of intense driving
to get past the sectional point of view they offer.

Not using it (as you claim) is rendering it useless.
