Can anyone identify this voltage regulator?
Greetings:
My '78 Westy has a non-stock voltage regulator that I am trying to identify. You can see pictures and the part no. at http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/dwilliam...tage_regulator It works fine, and charges my dual batteries no problem. I am just curious about its origin. I checked at the VW, Audi, and Mercedes dealers here in Halifax, Nova Scotia, but no one recognized it. One guy at an auto electric shop thought it was a Bosch, possibly from a European Ford model. It is wired up with the green wire going to terminal 67, and the red wire to terminal 15, crimped to the blue wire, which goes forward to the alt light. The alt warning light works properly. Appreciate any help anyone can provide. Darryl Williams 1978 Westfalia (CDN) |
