Default Drivers License renewal

Just got my DL renewal form in the mail. Among the other things noted
was that I had a choice of renewal periods: 5 years or 10 years. No need
to show up in person or take an eye exam. Just attest that my
health/vision have not significantly degraded since the last renewal
(they han not done either) and mail in the $$$. Needless to say, a US
$30.00 check for a 10 year DL is now on its way to the Georgia
Department of Driver Services.....

And...?

A normal renewal consists of an eye exam. It doesn't seem
unreasonable to presume a minute number of those under 55 fail it, and
that number does not justify the resources to perform an exam of all
drivers every 6 or 8 years.

What percentage of drivers would you estimate know the speed limits?

Probably about the same percentage of driving instructors who know how
to operate their vehicles around stopped school buses; why do you ask,
retard?
