Default CAI + water - is this really an issue???

Has anyone with a Cold Air Intake and experienced some problems
associated with water or moisture?

Myself, I'm not worried about submersing the damn thing - but more or
less - rain, snow - typical weather - wet roads... hitting puddles???

Should I be worried? What about these half circular splash sheilds?
Water valves? Really - is the water thing an issue???
