Mario Petrinovic:
So, Centering Spring at 100%, and everything else (5 other sliders:
Overall, Spring, Damper, and in-game Spring and Damper) at the same
percentage.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oops, in-game is Strength, not Spring.

No, it looks like Centering Spring is 50% for those FFB settings. If
you change settings, you have to re-adjust Centering Spring.
This goes for natural perspective (natural FOV). I only tried it
with natural perspective.

No, Centering Spring should be at 100%, after all. But also Overall
I will have at 100%.
The rest probably the same, I'll see

Ok, I got it.
Logitech driver's default settings should be 100/50/50/50.
I am still working on in-game, but they will be high.

Hm, with those above setting in-game 30.0/100% works really well.
Maybe in-game Damper should be 100%.
Centering spring should be 50% for sure.
I'll see tomorow where this will lead me.

Well it looks like:
In-game Strength is actually Logitech driver's Spring.
In-game Damper is actually Logitech driver's Damper.
Centering Spring should be at the same percentage as Spring and Damper (if
Overall is 100%).

Overall is 100%).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, lets see what this day brougth to me.
First, I am pretty sure that driver's Spring and Damper have to be
100%. They are controling in-game Strength and Damper, and only at 100%
those forces are in balance (I still didn't try above 100%, only below
100%), otherwise forces are too "poking" (if those two are below 100%).
Second, I am also pretty sure that Centering Spring should be the
same as in-game Strength. This knowledge helped me a lot, since there is
always problem with Centering Spring, it is hard to know if some problem in
driving arises from wrong Centering Spring, or from something else that is
wrong. Centering Spring is always the first suspect. Now that I determined
what is the right Centering Spring, now it is much easier to judge
everything else.
So, my forces start to look more and more like well tuned hi-fi.
So, it looks like driver setting should be like this -/100/100/-,
Centering Spring being the same as in-game Strength.
In-game forces should be at the same percentage. On my system, below
80% forces are too "springy", while above 85% they are too "dry". So, the
border is somewhere between 80% and 85 % (I'll see tomorow where exactly).
It looks like Overall is not of big significance, and it does just
what the name suggests, simply rise or lower the overall level of forces.
Not big deal, you adjust this to your liking.
So, I presume tomorow I'll finish this sh.t.

Ok, I got it.
- in-game sliders have to be at the max.
- Centering Spring should be at 100%.
- driver's Overall, Spring and Damper have to be the same.
If you want to modify this, then:
- multiplification of driver's Spring and in-game Strength, and also
multiplification of driver's and in-game Damper have to be the same as
Overall.
- Centering Spring should be the same as in-game Strength.

Hm, not quite, ; ).
Ok, now I have Overall and Centering Spring at 100%.
I will try to move four other sliders at the same percentage, to see
where this will lead me to. So far times are excellent, and everything goes
well. I tested only from 0% to 40% (in 5% steps, the rest I will test some
other day), but this looks very promising. Better than anything before.

Ok, this is "the way". Centering Spring at 100%, Overall probably
wherever you like. In-game sliders have to be at the same percentage both, I
presume that driver's Spring and Damper also, only in-game Strength and
Damper and driver's Spring and Damper don't have to be all the same. I
wouldn't be surprised to find out that driver's Spring and Damper work the
best at 50%, but I'll check this some other day.
Times are excellent, and I am very fast with the default Mosport
setup in Lotus 49.
