It would really help if you were to list the year etc. of the car.
On the later model Miatas, the speedometer and odometer are electronic in
nature. The speedometer meter is an analog meter, driven by electronics in
the instrument cluster and the input from the tranny speed sensor. The
odometer is basically a digital counter, also driven by pulses from the
speed sensor in the tranny.

The ABS system relies on sensors located at each wheel, and may also use the
car speed sensor. The system uses the wheel related pulse signals to
determine if wheels are turning slower than others during braking. There is
an electronic module that sees this difference, and then operates the
control valves to reduce braking on a wheel by wheel basis.

If this is a Miata, places like Mazmart have used parts available.

One hopes that the problem with the ABS is not in the ABS valve assembly,
since it is expensive to replace.
I would recommend that you find some way to test, or just replace the speed
sensor with a new or used part.
You should check the wiring and connectors before you invest in any parts.
