even with low mileage

I just got in a 74 Ghia coupe with 24K mileage but still have a lot of
problems to deal with. this has been sitting since 86.

The ghia looks in very good condition, the original spare tire has
never been used nor has the jack or the tool case been open.

there is only minor surfice rust in a dozen spots except rust thru on
the decklid and a dime size hole onder the battery.

All the electrical seems to work fine including the radio, all lights
work fine with just minor cracking in the front turn signals.

Tires and most of the rubber is dry rotted and need replaceing.

The worse seems to be that it was parked with a full tank of gas that
has turned to sludge, I spent 4 hours tring to clean the fuel ine
today. The tank looked great but after touching the the top it felt
like paper and was easy to poke holes in it, like it was made of paper.

I'm hoping to have it driveable after another full day of work and will
let you know how its going.
