trans fluid
i am going to change the trans fluid on my 95 6 cly.
any tips? how do i drain the converter? |

> i am going to change the trans fluid on my 95 6 cly. > any tips? > how do i drain the converter? > > prelim to those who know for sure whether this torque converter has a drain plug or not... the easy way is to remove trans cooling tube at rad, the warmer of the two (is from the pump) with engine at temp. slip tubing over it, start engine in park run fluid into bucket. Then remove pan, change filter and clean pan, new gasket. Mind the panbolt torque specs.. dont overtighten. Make SURE you dont overfill Suggest get filter and gasket from dealer. |
