Convertable wind noise
Hi
I am looking to buy a 2001 corvette convertible, I live in the UK and there are not so many to test drive. I took it out yesterday and I thought the amount of wind noise was excessive compared to other convertibles I have owned. Can you please tell me is this normal, or do seals break down?, or something else. I want to buy the car but this is putting me off. Advice please |

Now poor care and a miss aligned top is another story and would suggest a poor dealer/owner care regiment. Don't buy it until is is sealed properly. Actually the last Corvette I had that leaked was a 1961 and they are no where near that sloppy any more. > I want to buy the car but this is putting me off. > > Advice please -- Dad 04 C5 CE Z51 72 Shark Black/Black/4spd |

Yar,
I am in the UK (West Sussex) and have a '99 Conv.... One problem I have is that the car DOES leak on the driver's side right on the corner of where the roof meets the windscreen....and a know a couple of others who have the same problem. I've had replacement seals and all but still leaks although... As the car is out of warranty now, the easiest solution I've come up with is a bit Vasaline just on the corner which does the trick for me.... As for wind noise, just turn the BOSE stereo up...sorry, err, I can't really say....it's all a question of personal feeling as to whether the noise is acceptable or not. Rgds Chris....
