So do I. I've always been fond of cars that were designed to a different
beat, usually by a strong individual engineer who had his own idea of what a car should be like. Tatra was definitely one of those. So was Lancia. And in the USA, Hudson and Nash to a certain extent. Then there were such individual designs as Tucker, Porsche, Voisin, Panhard, Citroën, Jowett, and the early Saab, just to mention a few. It's a shame that nowadays there doesn't seem to be room for that kind of individuality. max "Dave Moorman" > wrote in message ... > In article <mbZgh.76552$hn.11436@edtnps82>, > Max wrote: > >> begin 644 1948 Tatra slvr-rVr=mx=.jpg >> [Image] >> >> end > > Man, I love eccentric car design. > > Dave |

As the technology matures, you get machines that perform very well and reliably - our 1999 Avalon has 168,000 miles on it and it's humming right along. However, there's nothing creative or eccentric about an Avalon! Dave |
