Default New 05 Stang

I just got a new 05 Stang.....did own a 2000 Mustang GT. Wow, the 05 is SO
MUCH better...tighter, better handling, better looking interior, quieter
cabin, and best of all, FINALLY on a Mustang, comfortable sports
seats...very similar to the Corvette. I had new rims put on yesterday at
Discount. Can anyone recommend the best Mustang magazines and parts sites?
Thanks,
Bill

Saw my first 05 GT at the drags Friday night. Had a very bad case of wheel
hop??

Hey, I'm looking at selling my 2000 GT and getting an '05 too. Did you
get one off the lot or did you order (I was planning on ordering)?
I've heard there's a bit of a wait for the 05's (and occasional MSRP+
pricing). What was your experience? What area of the country are you
in?

Sorry for all the questions, but I just haven't seen too many GT's
around here (Pittsburgh/Western PA). The dealers mostly have V6's and
I've seen maybe one or two GT's on the road.

Thanks!

Jesse

The weird experience I've have is that I saw lots of 05s before I got
mine, even a fair number of GTs. I'd see one or two a day. Since I got
mine several weeks ago, I've seen exactly four. Where'd they all go?
Are they hiding?

Prediction: the resident troll will claim they all fell apart.

Stock everything. He did get it in the 14's. Talked to him for a few
minutes. He said he had tried every launch RPM from 1,000 to 3,000 and he
was going to go home because it was so violent he was sure it would self
destruct. My 87, 89 and 03 have never showed a hint of this.

Wonder what's up with that? Never got wheel hop with my LX either.
Haven't really heard of this problem in the mags. Wonder if it was
the track..

I'm in Texas. I just sold a Porsche 968 and bought my 2005 GT. The dealer
told me it would take 4 - 6 months to custom order one. They got a dealer
to send a new GT (Sonic Blue, 5 spd, leather, Bullitt wheels, shaker 1000
stereo) in a dealer trade for a new ford pickup from their lot. This was
very close to what I wanted (didn't need a boom box stereo). The shaker
stereo takes about 4" off the passenger side of the trunk, so if you carry
golf clubs they have to lay diagonally across.

The dealers here DON"T deal at all...you pay MSRP or someone else will
shortly come along and buy it. There are a ton of V-6 models on the lots
but GT's are scarce.

Just my $.02

The dealers here in BC I saw giving as much as $3000 off for a sale they had
on GTs. I guess they are overstocked here. They are selling as I'm starting
to see quite a few on the streets lately. The new 2006s should be starting
soon. I've heard the 18 inch wheel option is coming, plus a pony package for
V6s which puts on the fog lights and 17 inch wheels. Interesting.
