Default A/C cutting in and out

My A/C unit is going in and out, Sometimes with power and sometimes without.
Anyone got any ideas? I was thinking it was a fuse the first time it went
out, but when it came on during a drive I kinda ruled that out.

Also is there a place to get new computer/time units on the internet? I got
a lot of display parts that are out, making it hard to read, but dont want
to spend the local BMW repair charge for a unit.

And how about this one... When the tank gets to 1/4 and the light goes on
the needle always seems to go to the right and then countdown to the empty
mark. I told that to the BMW repair person and they said it could be any of
4 things.... It is like when it goes to 1/4 it goes to full display to show
me that last 1/4 very accurately.... I kinda like it!

Thanks

Bob
