my question is, what would be easier a timing gun or a pressure guage and
how do i use a timing gun or what psi must the gauge be for the #1 piston
to be in time for my 03' civic si hb vtec. i know to line the timing marks
on the cam & crank pulley, i was just wondering if it would be easier with
the tools and how i would i operate them

You've got no distributor.

Why, on a car this new, do you need to adjust the ignition timing?

To check it, you need a timing light.

If you've removed the chain for some reason, you need to make sure all the
marks line up properly, with the #1 piston at the top of its compression
stroke, before buttoning it all up.

The only tool I can think of is a head with a brain filled with the know-how
of auto maintenance.
