Default '03 KJ Auto Tranny Problem

At 29,500 miles, the transmission on my KJ started giving a very solid
"thump" whenever it disengages from overdrive. Has anybody else experienced
this issue? Any ideas as to its cause? The eprom has already been flashed
by the dealer with the latest update.

Thanks!

I'd take it to the Stealership. They may have accidentally made the
problem.

The "flash" was indeed the solution. The reason it didn't appear to resolve
it was that the dealership's mechanic forgot to clear memory and allow it to
retrain. Once it was cleared and retrained, everything went to normal.

when you reflash a pcm/tcm it erases the memory and everything else. once u
start driving the vehicle it relearns what it needs, exception is tire size if
you are running biggar tires then the pinion angle has to reset to the biggar
tires
