Default ATF Shelf Life?

Would unopened 3 year old bottles of Mobil brand Dexron/Mercon
automatic transmission fluid be OK to use for my next change?

They would not have deteriorated if they were closed and not subjected
to extremes of temperature, etc.

they should be fine.. just make sure it's the right Dexron/Mercon for
whatever car you're going to use it on.

Eric....isn't all Dexron/Mercon the same???? Anyway, I'm sure these
Mobil bottles are the right type. They are the ones I had left over
when I did my last Aerostar transmission filter change 23,000 miles
ago.

Dexron/Mercon is different, but similar enough to be the same.
