Default Alfa Dealer ceased Trading.

Whilst wife & daughter were visiting a wedding fayre in Cardiff ( dreaded
date in January ) I decided to visit the Cardiff Alfa Romeo dealer, Victoria
Park Motors, to glance over the new Brera having received the promotional
pack from the Alfa dealer in Swansea. Thought this was a mistake , now I
know it wasn't. The Alfa Dealership run by Victoria Park Motors in Hadfield
Road, Cardiff ceased trading on March 31st.

So, 2 questions.

Does anybody know if Alfa UK are going to appoint a new dealer in Cardiff,
capital of Wales?

Can anyone recommend an Alfa specialist for servicing etc: in or around
Cardiff / South Glamorgan as I don't fancy travelling all the way to Swansea
or Newport?

"All the way to Newport"?

It's only, what, 12-14 miles.

I understand what you're saying, but I am an anaesthetist in a hospital near
Cardiff, and there is no way I could get back from Newport to start my list
in time so would have to take annual leave.

Thought I recognised the name:-
""""I have a local guy in Llanbradach who works on all my cars - he got my
75 through an MOT last year and my 155 the year before. When I had my
'Panzerwagen' phase, he did a cambelt on my Passat..... which is quite a
tricky job. He'll be doing all the work on our 156 and my Marea, too.

He's called Peter Holcombe and is in the Yellow Pages.

Labour is only £25/hour + VAT, so it's not going to be too painful.""""

Now why couldn't you just reprint this.
Much closer to where I work and will not have to fight the traffic on the M4
back to Cardiff in the morning. Llanbradach-Nantgarw-Llantrisant

Perhaps because Llanbradach is further from Cardiff than Newport.....

Gah! Some people are so sensitive.

Have you ever thought a nice, cuddly web forum would be a better place
for you? You appear to lack the robust character needed to survive on
Usenet.

Incorrect. According to AA route planner:-
Cardiff - Llanbradach 11.9miles
Cardiff - Newport 15.7 miles

2 questions of my own...

Why was you at the local alfa dealer when your daughter is planning for the
most important/exciting day of her life. Should you not be with her?

second, how often will your car be going in for a service? Once... at most
twice a year... for the sake of 12 - 14 miles i couldn't give a ****e !!!!
Book half a day off for christ sake... if you can afford the brera, you can
afford to take a day of work ! or book it in for a saturday morning...

Dom
