Even if it requires an alternative physics model and/or >significant suspension of disbelief. wrap the round portions of the hooks in fine copper wire. By passing a current over wires, you will project a magnetic field in front of the car whose lines of force wil deflect any ionized particles approacing the lower bumper air intake. This will work similarly to the eath's magnetic field deflecting the solar wind and will reduce the aerodymanic drag of the vehile. Also, by carefully tunning the aligment of the hooks, you can increase the grip of the front tires by creating downforce on surfaces that contain a heavy ammount of iron ore. This will allow the car to corner faster. |

This is really very scientifically perceptive. And I am sure the effects are greatest for white Miatas, since it allows the hooks to operate in a much higher photonic environment, increasing ionization. Someday soon now I will be fast enough that it gets time to actually try to find a rule book to read it. Now yer talkin'! I'd rig the hooks to beam an EMP at the car in front of me, disabling its ECU until I was past. Leon, put your students to work on the minor details of this one... -- Lanny Chambers '94C, St. Louis http://www.hummingbirds.net/alignment.html |
