New here
Marty from south central Mo.here
Just wanted to say Hi and give and intro. You can put me in the middleage crisis group cause my wife and freinds have tagged me as such. First Vette Experience: My 83 Camaro that I ordered came in with the dealers first C4 and I was the first (non Chevy employee) to drive it. The salesman and I took it to lunch while my Camaro was being prepped. Being a former employee in good standing had it's benefits ;-) Hot rodding was my favorite pastime but in the mid 80s I traded it off for airplanes and a boat. I did however hang onto a 63 Pontiac Tempest Convertible for the last 13 years. Now I have dumped the airplane, the boat is for sale and I bought an 84 C4 that is in need of TLC. A new interior is on it's way along with some other trim parts and a weatherstrip kit, new wheels and skins are on, service and performance manuals are on order and I've spent many hours on tightening loose screws plus recording the ones missing (lazy body shop) for replacement. Total investment thus far is approaching $8g and I'm loving every minute of it. Oh yeah, I bought it last Wed.and the Vette looks quite comfy in the garage next to the Tempest. Marty 84' C4 63' Tempest Conv. |
