Default Engine mod

Hi Guys , Sorry to any girl owners, but lets face it alfas are probably the
only real mans car on the market!

I bought an engine mod off of ebay, and it says it should be plugged into the
IAT or Coolant sensor,
but i'm having trouble locating either one of these and the seller seems not
to no much about alfa engines as this mod is universal an the only instuction
he has given me aply to a different car.

If anyone can direct me or even better send a picture of the locations that
would be great,
Also has anyone fitted one of these thing and how good are they?

My alfa is a 156 1.8TS (1999).

Kind regards

Simon.

Well, that's a bad start. Perhaps you'd like to say this to my wife's
face?

Bwahahahaha.

Why am I not surprised?

I doubt anyone here will have fallen for that old scam.

No, no-one has fitted one because they don't do anything.

You've bought a resistor that 'tricks' the ECU into believing the car is
running cold all the time - all this does is uncrease the fuelling
level, meaning you're running rich all the time without delivering any
improved performance.

All you'll get is worse fuel consumption and possibly increased engine
wear - you'll certainly end up dumping unburnt fuel into the catalyst
and exhaust system.

If you want more power, trade it for a 2lt or a V6.
