Too Much Oil
Changed oil on 300M -- put in 1/2 quart too much...Will this be a problem?

My dealer does it routinely. I've given up on bitching to them about it.
Are you judging by the dipstick or did you actually measure it out wrong. I ask because if the driveway or garage floor is pitched the dip stick will be off. I doubt that small amount will make a difference though some people will argue foaming will decrease lubrication. I doubt that small amount will make a difference though some people will argue foaming will decrease lubrication. IF you're talking about the silly thing that says oil capacity 4.5 qts. and
you put in 5 I'm wondering just why they do that. On every mini van I have/had with the 3.3, 3.8 family if I put 4.5 in and look at the stick it's always 1/2 qt. low. I always use 5 myself and have never had a problem.
