Default SELESPEED MISSING 4th GEAR

Hi
I have a 1999 Alfa 156 Selespeed, which is missing 4th gear every 6-7 time
i shift gear....
When shifting from 3th the gearbox "thinks" in about 3-4 seconds before it
directly shift into 5th....no "chrunces" or anything, it just wont choose
4th.
ANY HELP ?

Ty Frank

Sounds like the selespeed is on the way out. My 156 has done this four
times and on all occasions it was the selespeed unit. Mine tended to miss
3rd gear and go into 4th or 5th after a think. If its not under warranty
expect to pay £600 plus for the unit plus labour for install and
programming.

Sorry !
