Default A note from the "Oil Sludge Settlement Administrator"

Received a packet of information from the "Oil Sludge Settlement
Administrator" including a notice of a proposed settlement of a class
action lawsuit regarding the sludge problem affecting the 1.8T engines
in some VWs and Audis.

At first, I thought it was just another class action scam where the
lawyers got rich and all I was going to get was an insert for the owners
manual and a sticker to put in the engine compartment with the "strong
recommendation" that only VW spec 502 00 or equivalent oil be used in
the engine.

But on reading the fine print, I see that I'm also entitled to a
one-time $25 credit toward an oil change within one year of the final
settlement, whenever that might be.

Now I can afford to really celebrate New Years eve!
