Default GAP insurance question

Yesterday I bought a used Chevy Silverado from a dealer. It was late
evening by the time we signed all the papers, and the bus. manager told me
he couldn't add GAP insurance to my invoice at that time. I think I want
to add this, but am not sure if I need to buy it at the dealer, or if I
can get it through my insurance company or somewhere else(my insurance
company told me they have a similiar "loan-lease" policy, but I don't
think it covers 150%, the way the dealer told me their GAP does).
Could someone shed some light on this issue for me?

thanks for any advice!

1) You can get the insurance anywhere. For the last two (new) cars I
bought, I bought the coverage from my regular insurance ($50/year).

2) Watch those payout guarantees. 150% of what, especially on a used
vehicle? Ask for some in-writing, complete details about the coverage
before buying.
