Odometer concern
I just bought a used 1994 Honda Civic DX with 91,000 miles. I checked
the carfax listings before I purchased the car and everything looked okay. It appears that the first owner of the car drove it for less than 20,000 miles in the first FOUR years of owning it. The woman who I purchased it from was the second owner and she had the car serviced at the same place that the first owner did- the miles that she put on the car were about 15,000 a year. My concern- the odometer/speedometer has bubbles of lifted paint around the screws. Is this an indication that the odometer was rolled back? Could age cause this problem? Thanks, J |

If you look next to the odometer screws, the paint is puffed up or
bubbled. It looks like it could flake off. The paint looks perfect on all the other dash items. The numbers on the odometer do not align.
