Re-Installing N2003?
That PS is definitely a concern. Especially if the wattage is low.
For 20 pin supplies, ASUS requires a 4-pin supplimental connector (like one of the drive connectors) be attached to a special plug on the MB. At least mine does. I just got a new Antec TruePower 2.0 550w for $65. Re-Installing N2003?
I don't remember exactly what ps I have in this new system, I transferred it
from my older system. I think it was around a 500w True Power, will confirm when I take it out. I got the Antec 550W Neo HE, I liked the looks of the modular cables, so I won't have any extras in there to tuck away that I do not use. I just took it out of the box, and it indeed has the 20 + 4 pin configuration. I'll get it installed here in a little bit, work keeps getting in the way . -- Don "Larry" > wrote in message news:bt6wg.70798$fG3.39568@dukeread09... > That PS is definitely a concern. Re-Installing N2003?
Yeah, lemme tell ya!
Well, I was reading newsgroups, and blammo, complete system lockup. I decided, now is as a good a time as any, so I put in the new Antec Neo HE power supply. Man, I love the modular design, very convenient. Just plug in the cables you need, and leave out the ones you don't need, eliminating a lot of clutter. Now, I officially have a full 24 pin connector in my motherboard. Time will tell, if it will make any difference, if it does not lock up at all this weekend, I am probably ok. Of course, I do not think this issue is related to my N2003 woes, hopefully, the sound card will help that. May try a quick race later this afternoon though, just for giggles. -- Don "Larry" > wrote in message news:8e7wg.70805$fG3.43770@dukeread09... > Yeah, that pesky work thing > > -Larry > > "Don Burnette" > wrote in message > ... >>I don't remember exactly what ps I have in this new system, I transferred >>it from my older system. >> I think it was around a 500w True Power, will confirm when I take it out. >> >> I got the Antec 550W Neo HE, I liked the looks of the modular cables, so >> I won't have any extras in there to tuck away that I do not use. >> I just took it out of the box, and it indeed has the 20 + 4 pin >> configuration.
