Default ENGINE SWAP

Need to change engine and box on my 156 2.4 jtd, any tips? is it
easier to drop the whole lot out through bottom or can it be lifted
out?
Any help much appreciated

How on earth did you manage to kill a 2.4JTD? - they're probably the
most bulletproof Alfa engine since the demise of the old 8v TSparks!

Default ENGINE SWAP

I'm pretty sure you it out the top otherwise you are looking at
removing most of the suspension because of the cross-member. You might
have to take the gearbox off first.

Been told that you have to drop the crossmember to get the gearbox out
anyway, with or without the engine still attached :roll: :roll: :?
