I started out just using the dehydrator for making beef jerkey but am using it for all my backpacking food needs. I love to dry fruits and make leathers! I can dry salsa at home and rehydrate it on the trail for a wonderful treat. Dried soups and spaghetti sauce also work out well.
Making dried fruit and jerky is simple and convenient with the Back to Basics Food Dehydrator. A combination of heat and air circulation quickly dries up to five pounds of fruits, vegetables, and meats. Includes five drying trays
