Default Permanant plug wires?

Ok, who superglued in the wires? Or is there some kind of trick to it? All I
know is, I pulled for all I'm worth and the distributor end ain't coming out
for nothin.

This isn't all bad... if I ever need to hoist the engine out I'm sure these
will take the strain just fine.

Is there a replaceable cap under there? How the heck else do I get these
off? Special explosive? The only way I can pull harder is to take off the
hood and stand over them with a visegrips.

Try twisting them.

I twisted the bejabbers out of them. Top twists, bottom doesn't seem to.

you're talking about at the coil pack right? I'd spray a bit of ol WD-40 in
there if it were me, give it a little time to soak and then try the twist
and pull again. If moisture got in there somehow maybe there's some
oxidation that has sort of fused them together.
