98 Odyssey front end howl
My mechanic assures me that all is ok with the van. The mileage is 205,000
km. I did change the transmission oil recently and had the brakes adjusted and then rechecked again since the noise. The parking brake is not on, and the rear wheels are cool to the touch after a long drive. The front wheels are both a bit warm though to touch after a drive. The Howl sounds louder then it normal for snow tires, and the howl was happening before I switch to the winter tires anyway. Any ideas |

Any ideas "Brake Lamp," not "Brake," is suppose to mean that the tail bulb(s) are degrading or of the wrong type if they come and go. If the bulb is dead, replace it. If you hear howling from the front end that stops when you turn in one direction but gets louder when you turn the opposite way, it's the bearing. -- Rick |
