Well, no, it probably doesn't. If it only sprinkles the moisture will mix
with the dust on the car and give rain spots. But, generally, water spots
come from lime or calcium deposits in water from when you wash the car in a
car wash (unfiltered) or with a hose.

When that happens - should the deposits end up on the car - a terry towel
with a bit of white vinegar and some distilled water dashed upon it will
take care of the "water spots" quite nicely.

Some of us are anal enough to actually wash our cars daily - twice daily -
if need be.
