Start the car. As soon as the idle speed stabilizes, drive off slowly.
Avoid hard acceleration until the car is fully warmed up.

Warm water is not a good idea. That water you are pouring down the window
will probably freeze up later and cause the same problem. Best bet is to
turn on the heat in the car. The windows will eventually unfreeze.
