Restoration Advice
I own a 1966 mustang that needs somewhat of an overhaul; I am looking
for recommendations for a shop that can perform interior restoration, exterior painting, as well as fix my brakes. Does anyone know of any reputable shops in the South Jersey/Philadelphia area? |

Can't help ya with that area, but as for brakes, I'd say just grab a
manual (even a Haynes manual) and have at'er.. Nothing to em at all.. wrote: > I own a 1966 mustang that needs somewhat of an overhaul; I am looking > for recommendations for a shop that can perform interior restoration, > exterior painting, as well as fix my brakes. Brakes are pretty easy, any manual should cover them.. I used to use
Chiltons for my fiero when I had no idea how to do em.. You need to replace calipers and rotor and lines and the whole shebang, or just the pads? I'd say check out your local library and see if they have a Haynes manual kickin around.. wrote: > Thanks. Can you recommend a good brakes manual? > |

Make sure you bleed them too and test them good before you're rolling if
you attempt though.. I don't want a smashed mustang or worse on my conscience.. wrote: > Thanks. Can you recommend a good brakes manual? > |

two words, Shop Manuals. If you own an old car, you need them. unless you
can aford to farm everything out. I can't. The shop manual set was the second thing I bought when i decided to go old school. they are priceless. Never had a problem with the brakes, besides the lines when I picked it
up.. Clutch on the other hand, is the reason I sold it.. Take a look on eBay and/or you can do a google search for them. I'd try keywords like "shop manual" and "1966 mustang". > Scott > "JohnnyK" > wrote in message > ... >> Can't help ya with that area, but as for brakes, I'd say just grab a >> manual (even a Haynes manual) and have at'er..
