That was just my regular 18-135mm kit lens but I had a moderate 12mm extension ring on it so I got a little closer than the normal normal 18" to 20" minimum focusing distance. I went out a couple of weeks ago and acquired a set of extension rings. One is 12mm, one is 20mm, and one is 36mm. You can use them singly or stacked together. They mount between the camera body and the base of the lens. They contain no glass at all. The thing they allow you to do is move in closer for macro work. I'm going to play around and try shooting some bugs and other little stuff. -- Pat Durkin |
