Default NASCAR questions

Couple things I've wondered about since getting N2003: 1) What do the
three red dots on the back windshield mean? and 2) What is the sound
at the start of a race that sounds like a loud horn for? Tell the
audience the race is about to begin?

Thanks.

As far as the dots go, they are there to guide the crewmember to put a
wrench into to "take wedge out" (loosen the car) or "put wedge in" (tighten
it up).

Typically only the bottom right one is used during the race - I haven't seen
VISUALLY the others used in quite some time.

As for the horn...couldn't tell ya...

The red dots you see are actually access holes for long wrenchs they use to
adjust the cars setup during pitstops. One set is for wedge, the other is
for trackbar adjustments
