Cabriolet Convertible trunk lid strut
The old strut on this trunk lid door was no longer holding the door up far
enough, so I purchased a new strut. I haven't had a chance to install it yet, but I did try to manually compress it. Even with all of my strength I could not make it budge at all. Am I doing something wrong, or does that little trunk lid door have all of that leverage? Heck, the door couldn't weigh more than 5 pounds! By the way, the new strut looks exactly the same as the old one in all dimensions. |
