<snip my message about engine bay seals>

Thanks all for the replies.

I'm getting the seals fitted today by a (hopefully) more reputable
establishment!

I've been reading RAMVA regularly for ages, and it's *so* good to know
that there's a repository of knowledge like this.

Hopefully I'll soon learn enough to be able to contribute with answers
instead of questions!

Hmmmm. interesting, I suggest you shape the reticulating sensors around the
heat exchangers, using feeler guages and leaving to set with 2 part epoxy,
then complete stage two by torquing the the horizontally opposed cylinder
pot covers to fourthousand foot pounds, and adding a 45mm webber - sidedraft
carburettor, this should produce approx 4.7 kilowatts at 500 rpm, then
install a 3/4 race cam with every second lobe removed and introduce a chain
tensioner upgrade to complete the retrofit,......this should solve the
problem.......You might need two hands for the abovementioned procedure so
you will have to remove one hand from your penis for a couple of
hours....hope this helps.

My wife drove her Ghia around hot Florida for years without any seals and it
didn't seem to hurt the engine. I seriously doubt the 150 miles you put on
it has hurt anything.
