Automotive DC motors?

The problem I am having is finding pertinent data (like torque, rpm,
and power curve charts) for these motors. I doubt seriously that
automotive parts store would know anything but that it's a replacement
part for such and such a vehicle etc.

No, an autoparts store probably wouldn't have that info. But they
would be able to tell you who makes the motors, or at least the
supplier. With that you could contact the supplier who could give
you more.
