Dear Mr. Customer,

Thank you for contacting Progressive.

The nature of your question is one that we cannot answer at this time.

In the event of an actual claim as you describe, coverage and payment
will be determined by your Claims Representative. Your Claims
Representative will personally handle your claim and will review all
the facts,
along with the terms and conditions of your policy and applicable state

law. Policy language and laws vary by state and each claim is unique.

We hope that you will understand that we can only provide general
information about policy coverage and claims at this time--information
that
will apply to most customers in most situations. We'd like to direct
you to our Web site progressive.com, where you will find information
that may help you.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to
contact us at , or by telephone at

1-800-PROGRESSIVE (1-800-776-4737).

Call Center Representatives are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

for your convenience.

If you respond directly to this e-mail, please use the "reply button"
so that the tracking number is attached to the mail.

Sincerely,

Progressive Internet Service Specialist

Subject: Progressive Claims Service

Policy/Claim No:
DL No: 7744
Message: Lets say I get into a collision with a bridge abutment. The
car
isn't totalled so Progressive gives me the money to repair the car.
What
would happen if a body shop repaired the car to the best of their
abilities and the steering geometry was still "untrue" despite their
best
efforts? I believe this may happen do to frame damage on the front end
and when this happens the car will never drive the same again after the
repair.

Will Progressive do anything about this? Would Progressive ever buy
the
car from me or am I just stuck with a car that has tricky handling?

It's progressive, they will pay for about 80% of the repair. (co-worker's
experience having been insured with them)

What was the question posed to Progressive. If you sent that inane
hypothetical question, then I think you should be perfectly satisfied
with an open-ended answer.

Harry that is an unfair comparison. My question was a hypothetical
question concerning a special circumstance. There is no reason why
Progressive couldn't have given me a strait "yes or no" answer.
