Audiopilot With Bose System

Hi

Does anyone with an Alfa GT have a microphone in the car near the
handbrake? I have seen this on some GTs and I assumed that this was part of
the Audiopilot on the Bose system.

I don't have it on my GT even though I have the Bose MP3 option and so
wonder if the feature is missing or maybe just a small design change? As it
is, I can't perceive the Audiopilot working at all so maybe it is missing in
my car or the effects are so subtle that they are not noticeable. I'd be
grateful if anyone can shed light on this for me as the dealers I have asked
about this don't seem to know about the Bose Hifi system at all.

Well certainly no option in the GT (or at least not in my GT)
I have the same system as you.
I do know the feature from my VDO Dayton system in my former Alfa, although
it did not continuously monitor the noises but you have to set it at the
most frequently used situation. Looks intersting on the Bose website.
Are you sure you didn't see an auxiliary microphone for a after market hands
free GSM kit? (I have one next to the mirror?

Just found out from Bose that older Alfa GTs did have this feature but it
was discontinued by Alfa Romeo.
