I think you might have missed the part of my post that said I would change
the tires out at 15,000 miles, not new. I can see where you might think I
was throwing around money if you felt I was throwing away new tires. I'm
not. Based on my 99 C5 Convertible, I get about 22,000 miles max from the
stock tires (don't know how much they've changed) and the story I get is
that the unlikeable noise from the run flats, and rough ride starts to
become annoying at about 1/2 of the tread of the runflats.

My LS6 (Gen III) is the same basic block as the LS1 (Gen III) 5.7 liter,
although they have different heads, some changes to the block, valvetrain,
intake, and exhaust manifolds. I have had no problems running N2O, but I
have the Hypertech programmer (I set max RPM to 6,800), an MSD rev limiter
(MSD had to make it special order because it was LS6 and not LS1) with the
chip for 6,800, and then added the ZEX twin 15 lb. bottles with RPM on/off
limits (3,000 on, and 6,500 off). My plugs are 2 temperatures colder. For
shifting I got the Autometer C2 so I could see the light and know when to
shift, and to make sure I didn't miss shifts I went with the B&M ripper.
Oh, the N2O destroyed my O2 sensor, so I had to custom order some spacer
plate that pulls the sensor further away from the exhaust gasses. The four
sensors were about $400, so try not to destroy them. If you want me to
post some photos of how it is set up, I can put them on a binaries group.
