Check your drivers license
I ran across this from a mail group and gave pause to think. Anyone towing
their race car or show car could easily be in violation without realizing it. I'm trying to find what Missouri requires, as the web site is confusing. Looks like as long as I'm under 26,000 lb and not a commercial vehicle, I'm ok. Illinois has a 16,000 lb limit on its basic operator's license. http://www.sos.state.il.us/publicati...rr_chap01.html I cant believe Florida has an 8000 lb limit. Heck, any 3/4 ton pickup is more than that like this guy below says. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kris Doucimo" > To: >; >; >; >; >; >; >; >; >; >; >; >; >; >; >; >; >; >; > Sent: Friday, January 14, 2005 12:51 PM Subject: Driver License Classes > You may not be aware of this, but this has bothered me for 15 years, ever > since the state changed the driver licenses from the Chauffeur and Operator > classes to the Class A, B, C, D, and E. > > When we had operator licenses, we could drive any of our personal vehicles. > For people in much of Florida, this meant the pickup trucks that are so > common. > > But with the change, many people are illegal, although they are unaware. > Looking on the back of your driver's license will not help.
