I was at my fiancee's family's Christmas dinner one time. They seem
to have this standard of politeness (aka. political correctness) that
seems bizarre to me but they assure me that I am the bizarre one for
not following it.

Anyway, there was one guy doing the washing-up , and SIX people
with tea-towels flocking around like vultures waiting for the next
item to be available for drying. Now, I got chastised for sitting in a
chair watching, instead of helping to dry the dishes. Sigh...

Usually it is me and my son-in-law that do k.p. duty.
