Yup, that's the one. Widest thing I have desk space for, and only 1/2"
wider at the case than my big old (dead) 21" Dell CRT. Killer price point
they're hitting with that; there are cheaper ones but the Samsung looks to
be the only 22" out right now with an 8-bit panel. The color banding on
6-bit panels always annoys me. Not much info out on them yet but you can
find a review here and there; looks to be best for gaming and general use,
maybe not the best for Artwork. Should be a good match for my purposes. A
review: http://www.short-media.com/review.php?r=336&p=1

Should have it in a couple of days - will let you know how it goes.

I noticed the exact same thing with my Black Momo pedals. It's more of a
switch than a gradual brake application.

I noticed the same issues in rFactor.

The accellerator is pretty notchy too. Nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing,
wham! There is almost no low-throttle modulation there.

Hopefully the G25 I have ordered as well will be a LOT better.

In all ISI games, you get only half of the throttle movement if you first
calibrate gas bedal and then brake pedal. So the first half is nothing and
then it goes from 0 to 100% in the 50% of the pedal movement.

You should calibrate/assign brake first and then throttle, to get the full
motion of the gas pedal recognized.

Still waiting here in the UK.

I have been really enjoying the latest rFactor mods, but I always
preferred the GT Legends graphics style over rFactor. The GTR2 demo
looks a tad more polished again to me. A "softer" look which to me at
least looks more realistic.

I for one like the rain effects in the GTR2 demo, forgetting the wiper
debate for now, dealing with the spray is an added dimension.

I am looking forward to trying the NGTs in GTR2. For some reason I have
never been a fan of the GTs, I prefer the 360s and 911s.

Any feedback from those that have tried it so far?

Cheers
Tony

Thanks for the info Steve. I'm looking forward to hearing your impressions
of it. I'm kinda on the fence right now as I do a lot of work in Photoshop
and the word is that it might not be the optimal monitor for that. I'll keep
my eyes peeled for your updates.
