Racing sims and NVidia 3D vision? Any good?
Instead of cashing out and buying a unit, does anyone here have any
experience with the NVidia IR transmitted 3D vision goggles? Is it hard on the GPU? CPU? Flicker? Useful in racing sims? Is it good on LCDs? Any flicker? FPS drop? I would expect the image to flicker, since the shutters actually shuts the images on and off, and this does not take place with normal 2D display... Or is this just a worthless gimmick without any good use? I know that our stereo vision is limited to relatively short distances (less than 10m?) and in racing sims we watch things hundred of meters away, beyond that stereo vision range... Any experiences, anyone? --A-- |
