I hope you are not a money manager or stock analyst. That stadium will be
filled to the rim.

If you're going, park in fron of the rich people's houses and pee on their lawns!

They frequently run shuttles from the Parsons' parking lot in town up to the
Rose Bowl for special occasions, but since this is a workday that probably
isn't an option.

What do you consider rich? and why pee of their lawns?

The Rose Bowl is located in an arroyo. The people living on the banks of the
arroyo and the surrounding streets are wealthy. Old money,
multi-multi-million$ homes. They're the people who whine whenever there's an
event at the Rose Bowl that causes noise, bright lights and filth, especially
from the proles who park on their streets either to save money on parking or
because the parking lot is full.

If you go to the game, you are making them unhappy. If you pee on their lawns
you will make them even unhappier. Don't worry, all the cops will be on
traffic control. Just don't let them see your license plate.

Enjoy.

That's right, put me on the spot. You mean excluding real friends and
relatives, right? ... Uh...

OK, I like Smart & Final and the ethnic produce stores -- Roma and the Lake
Market in particular... Do the Burbank and Industry Fry's count? My actual
neighbors are OK, although I don't see them very often. You won't like this,
but I like the Best Buy across the street. And there's a burrito shop next
door called Chipotle which offered a free fancy burrito to each customer as a
grand opening special. Next time I want to buy a $5 burrito, that's where
I'll go. I used to like Sears when they were an honest shop that sold real
merchandise at reasonable prices. Then they tried to break into the fashion
business, turned down the lights, fired the knowledgeable salespeople and
started using ****ty chrome on their sockets.

Good enough? I can think of more if I have to... I guess...

The tickets for the normal Rose Bowl game cost a fortune and are very hard for
the general public to get because the schools, the teams, the Pasadena City
Fathers and other notables get to buy chunks of tickets at list price, and
some of those people actually (NO, say it isn't so!) sell them at a profit.
Might be interesting to tally up the cars in the parking lot...

They just dragged a dozen of the floats away tonight. They've finally figured
out a way to keep people from grabbing the flowers -- they never stop. They
drive slowly down the street and turn the corner. I followed the Australia
float for a whole block because it had a lot of protea flowers which look like
they come from Mars, might eat small animals, and dry nicely. If I'd been
wearing real shoes instead of bedroom slippers I might have given it a try,
but I figured I'd just slip. Feh. Maybe next year...

Stick to what you know, please. Yeah, no californian will go to a USC
championship game!
