Another Drunk Driver charged w murder

We need to do the same with speeders and texters who kill on the highway.
It's not an accident or even manslaughter. It's murder!!

Driver to face murder, DUI charges in La Verne hit-and-run

LA VERNE - The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office will likely
file murder, felony driving under the influence and hit-and-run charges
against a Covina man who crashed his car Saturday, killing the two women in
his car, authorities said Sunday.

Renee Hardy, 20, and Telassie Dague, 22, both of Rancho Cucamonga, were the
passengers, according to a coroner's investigator. One woman died at the
scene, and the other died at a hospital.

A man reached at Dague's house Sunday afternoon said the family was not up
to discussing the woman's death or the crash.

There was no immediate information on how the two women knew the driver,
Alan McConnell of Covina.

On Saturday, McConnell was first involved in a minor hit-and-run collision
at Foothill Boulevard and Damien Avenue around 12:44 a.m. He then fled and
crashed his car into a center divider about a mile east, on Foothill
Boulevard and Wheeler Avenue, La Verne police Sgt. Ray Steitz said.

I hope this monster is convicted of murder but have to admit killing
passengers is not quite as bad as killing innocent ppl in another car. The
passengers in a sense brought this on themselves when they chose to ride
with this creature.
