Default Overheating Caused by Peashooter Shoved Too Far In?

If the left peashooter tail pipe is installed too far in next to the
heat riser pipe inside the stock muffler, will it cause the Type I
engine to run hot?

Similarly, if it is installed too far from the heat riser pipe in the
stock muffler, would it cause the engine to run cold in Winter?
Any help is appreciated. TIA!
