GPL via Gem+ or directly

Is there any difference starting GPL65 over golc65.exe or over Gem+?

2.
My Gem+ isn't creating new gplc65.exe and when I start GPL65 via Gem+, I
cannot click the player info button and the team info button. When I do
this, I quit GPL and fall back to Gem+.

What Operating System are you running GEM/GPL on?
