Default pajero starter motor

I have a Pajero 2.8 tdi LWB and have purchased a replacement startermotor
but i am at a loss as to how i get the old starter motor off the car? The 2
bolts that secure the starter motor to the engine are in the most awkward
place and it looks impossible to get a socket on them, has anyone ever
changed a starter motor on a pajero? and if so how did you get to the
bolts? any help or advice would be greatly appreciated
