95-525i Air Conditioning issues
I have a 1995 525I, my car has recently been diagnosed with a
condenser leak and a bad aux. fan. Total fix is $1,600 I trust my mechanic, but I thought this is excessive, any suggestions on aftermarket parts, alternates for repairs?? Thx |

The aux fan is a known trouble spot as it gets all the **** first and then seizes. The condenser is also right out there where all the kamikaze water ouzels hit it and leave holes that nobody can see. You could scourer eBay and you might get lucky but in all honestly get a genuine aux fan and an aftermarket (pattern) condenser and you must change the filter/drier. $1600 = 800GB pounds and that seems very reasonable this side of the Atlantic |
